About Swemko - The Knife People

Swemko was established in 1975 as a supplier of Industrial Machine Knives and Cutting Systems by Ray and Doreen Medd from a small unit in Bristol then known as the South West England Machine Knife Company hence the name today Swemko UK Limited. 

Ray is an ex Guillotine operator and so the understanding and emphasis of the company was to offer a personal service giving best advice and guidance to make sure our customers were getting the very best performance from their machine knives.

Today Swemko remains a family owned business and these values have continued seeing us grow from this time to become one of the largest UK machine knife specialists to the Printing and Converting industries, with four sites covering the whole of the UK.

We have our own fleet of vehicles covering the country offering a weekly collection and delivery service. Each of our four sites are specified the same offering the complete sharpening service.

We have operations in Livingston - Rotherham - London and Bristol which is head office.
