The company has grown to be the market leader in the UK for Machine Knives, supplying a specialist range of products to the printing and converting industry.
Services and Products for the Printing Industry:
As the exclusive UK agent for IKS Klingelnberg GmbH of Germany we stock and supply the complete range of Guillotine and trimmer blades from Durapid (standard steel) Duritan (High speed steel) and Incomet our Sub micron fine grain Tungsten carbide. All these materials are all supplied by IKS and come with a lifetime guarantee against faulty manufacture. Each knife is etched and so can be traced through the manufacturing process giving total traceability should there ever be a problem to standard ISO 9001:2000
Swemko currently supplies all the major importers of guillotines in the UK and in turn IKS supply all the major original machine manufacturers making our product number one for the printing industry not only in the UK but worldwide.
In addition to knives we stock and supply Support Products like our universal Blue Cutting Sticks to give extended knife and stick life.
Jogging blocks to suit all guillotines made form a tough plastic with a comfortable handle Tufnell wear strip and magnet to aid narrow trims.
Galvanised stitching wire including coloured wires for the print finisher.

Converting industry.
Swemko stocks a complete range of IKS Klingelnberg straight sheeter and circular slitter knives. From small shear and crush cut knives for lightweight label conversion to Large diameter top slitters and large lower Multi knife blocks used in Paper mills.
Again the IKS range of materials are designed for the task with standard steel, High Carbon High Chrome, High speed steel, Powdered metals ASP 23 ASP 2053 and CPM 10 V as well as Tungsten Carbide tipped meaning no matter what the application we have the knife for maximum performance aligned with cost.
As a specialist to the conversion industry we also supply Pneumatic knife holders for shear or crush systems this allows us to offer the complete package to make sure the cutting system is working to its very best.
